Starting this week, Tulsa Flyer, The Oklahoma Eagle, Tulsa Press Club and Tulsa World are combining forces to host a series of free candidate forums ahead of the Aug. 25 City Council elections.
Journalists will be on stage to moderate the forums, and attendees will have the opportunity to submit questions. RSVP is encouraged but not required. Events are listed in order of district, not date.
Tulsa City Council District 1
The Oklahoma Eagle will host candidates running to represent Tulsa’s City Council’s District 1, which covers a majority of north Tulsa. Vanessa Hall-Harper has been the representative for a decade and faces challenges from Mareo Johnson, Thomas Moore, Cornice Wilson and Reggie Williams Jr. as she runs for reelection.
