School districts across the Tulsa metro are extending closures into Tuesday as record-low temperatures continue after the weekend’s winter storm.
Public Schools
Bixby Public Schools — Schools are closed Tuesday for a distance learning day. All athletics, activities and practices are canceled. If closure extends to Wednesday it will be another distance learning day. All parent conferences and SpartanU Academic Advisement nights are rescheduled for next week.
Broken Arrow Public Schools — Schools are closed Tuesday for another traditional snow day. Employees should not report to work, but maintenance and custodial staff will receive more information from supervisors about reopening buildings for later in the week.
Catoosa Public Schools — Schools are closed Tuesday for a distance learning day. Students should check in with their teacher if possible or complete assigned asynchronous work during the day.
Collinsville Public Schools — Schools are closed Tuesday for another traditional snow day. Roads remain “snow-packed” in the area, the district says.
Coweta Public Schools — Schools are closed Tuesday for a traditional snow day. Wrestling matches and basketball games have been postponed.
Glenpool Public Schools — Schools are closed Tuesday for a distance learning day. “Students are responsible for work assigned by teachers,” the district announcement reads. “Participation (completion) equals attendance. Students, please complete every assignment.”
Jenks Public Schools — Schools are closed Tuesday for a traditional snow day, which will need to be made up at the end of the school year. All Community Education programs, athletic events and school activities are canceled. The Early Childhood Center (Little Trojan Academy) will also be closed.
Owasso Public Schools — Schools are closed Tuesday for another day of distance learning.
Sand Springs Public Schools — Schools are closed Tuesday for another traditional snow day.
Sapulpa Public Schools — Schools are closed Tuesday for another traditional snow day, due to “snow-covered, slick areas” on roads and parking lots. All Tuesday athletic events will be rescheduled.
Tulsa Public Schools — Schools and district sites are closed Tuesday.
Union Public Schools — Schools are closed Tuesday, and all student activities canceled.
The district says 12-month employees should report at 10 a.m. and operations employees at normal times. Union employees may “elect to take appropriate leave time if they have concerns about making it into work.”
Private Schools
Augustine Christian Academy — No closures announced for Tuesday.
Bishop Kelley High School — School is closed Tuesday for a distance learning day.
Cascia Hall Preparatory — No closures announced for Tuesday.
Holland Hall — Campus is closed Tuesday for a traditional snow day.
Little Light House — No closures announced for Tuesday.
Marquette Catholic School — No closures announced for Tuesday.
Metro Christian Academy — No closures announced for Tuesday.
Mingo Valley Christian — School is closed Tuesday for a traditional snow day.
Monte Cassino School — School is closed Tuesday.
Riverfield Country Day School — School is closed Tuesday for another day of distance learning.
San Miguel School of Tulsa — School is closed Tuesday. Parents helped shovel snow around the site Monday.
Victory Christian School — No closures announced for Tuesday.
Technical and Higher Education
NSU-Broken Arrow — All NSU campuses are closed Tuesday.
Oral Roberts University — Campus will operate as usual Tuesday. Classes may be virtual if a professor encounters “travel difficulty due to road conditions,” the university says.
OSU-Tulsa — Campus offices will open at 10 a.m. and classes will be held Tuesday. The university advises using Lots C and D for parking, as these lots will be clear with paths to “all campus buildings.”
OU-Tulsa — Campus will remain closed for online classes and remote work Tuesday.
The University of Tulsa — Campus will not reopen until 11 a.m. Tuesday. All classes before 11 a.m. and after 6 p.m. are canceled.
Tulsa Community College — All TCC locations will shift to virtual operations Tuesday. There will be no in-person classes.
Tulsa Tech — Campus will be closed Tuesday.
