With Tulsa’s third school snow day in the books, many children who rely on school lunch programs may be missing regular access to meals.

Oasis Fresh Market, a north Tulsa grocery store located at 1725 N. Peoria Ave., will host an emergency free meal distribution to alleviate the lapse in nutrition during the winter storm. The Pine and Peoria location will be distributing lunch and dinner from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday to any child in need with no purchase necessary.

“Oasis Fresh Market exists to serve this community, especially in moments like this,” said store owner AJ Johnson. “When schools close, food insecurity doesn’t pause. We want families to know they are not alone, and help is available today.”
